This is a design-led consultant service for homeowners who are renovating and want help with deciding style direction, layout and materials for kitchen, bathrooms and built-in carpentry.

Suitable for clients who are working with a general contractor or interior designer who is strong in renovation execution.

Usually paired with Full Styling to achieve a cohesive and complete home that’s ready to move in.

How Renovation Design Support Works

Step 1: Getting Started

Submit your to-scale floor plan with measurements and inspo images.

We will then discuss your renovation plans, lifestyle, preferences and styling goals in detail.

We will also create a group chat with yourself, myself and your appointed GC/ID.

Step 2: Design Direction

I will develop a clear design direction for your space, including layout, style, mood and atmosphere, material, colour, hardware and finish recommendations.

Step 3: Material Selection

Once the design direction is confirmed, we will go shopping to select materials such as tiles, laminates, countertop finishes, flooring, paint, knobs and handles.

Step 4: Ongoing Communication Support

I will work closely with your appointed GC or ID by communicating the design concept and material selections to them, ensuring that the plans are carried through.

Your contractor or ID is responsible for handling the project management, timelines, technical drawings and renovation works.

  • No. This service does not replace an interior designer. It focuses on design concept and material selections. This service is especially helpful if you are working directly with a general contractor or an ID who focuses on project management and execution.

  • A GC is often more cost-effective if you already have a clear design direction and are comfortable working with simple floorplans and technical drawings.

    An ID provides more comprehensive project management and usually produces full drawings and 3D renders to help you visualise the space, but may come at a more premium price.

  • I do not manage your contractor or supervise renovation works. However, I will work with your contractor closely by communicating the design concepts, support with problem-solving and ensuring that the outcome is as per what was discussed.

    As an interior stylist, I am able to help with both the design direction of your renovation and the overall styling of your space (even handling nitty gritty logistics for you) so that your home feels both cohesive and complete.   • Ideally 1.5 to 2 months before your renovation begins. This ensures sufficient time to understand your needs and confirm the styling direction, which will guide all material choices from the start.

    It also allows time for thoughtful decision-making, without feeling rushed.

  • This service is priced according to the scope of the renovation project. As every home renovation is different, please get in touch for a custom quote.
